Requirements
- 10+ years in machine learning engineering.
- Demonstrated tech lead ownership of at least two major ML platform domains serving multiple product teams.
- Proven record of shipping ML-powered features end-to-end with measurable impact.
- Hands-on Ray and Kubernetes expertise in production environments.
- Spark experience strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of ML fundamentals: evaluation methodology, dataset design, ablation, and drift.
- Ability to review and redirect modeling approaches.
- Demonstrated cross-org technical leadership regarding platform decisions and roadmap.
- Strong communication skills regarding engineering and science trade-offs.
Responsibilities
- Set technical strategy and own end-to-end delivery of the ML platform for multiple Safety AI product teams.
- Drive the design, launch, and iteration of Safety AI features including CV models and LLM-based reporting.
- Design and operate scalable online and batch inference systems including deployment patterns and observability.
- Partner with firmware and edge teams to package, validate, and deploy models to devices with feedback loops.
- Own reliability, observability, and security for ML systems across cloud and edge.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor senior engineers, and represent the team in open source communities.
