Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Platform, DevOps, or SysOps roles.
- Deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with self-managed Kubernetes.
- Experience with bare-metal infrastructure (specifically Hetzner).
- Proven track record of architectural and code reviews.
- Proven track record of mentoring mid-to-senior level engineers.
- Experience leading successful SOC2 and GDPR audits.
- Experience implementing Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) solutions.
- Ability to manage internal tools as products with long-term roadmaps.
- Strong communication skills for translating technical debt/risk into business-level discussions.
- CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) preferred.
- CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist) preferred.
- Google Professional Cloud Architect certification preferred.
- Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical oversight and design reviews for all infrastructure changes and platform code.
- Mentor mid-to-senior level platform engineers to support complex migrations and builds.
- Define and enforce organization-wide engineering standards.
- Manage the internal GCP sandbox solution and evolve the unified observability framework.
- Collaborate with C-suite executives on engineering health, budget, and technology roadmaps.
- Research and integrate AI and agentic solutions into internal engineering services.
- Govern organization-wide AI policy for security and compliance.
- Direct FinOps initiatives to optimize infrastructure costs and manage project budgets.
- Lead initiatives for SOC2 Type 2 and GDPR compliance.
- Manage CSPM and vulnerability management workflows across data stores.
