Requirements
- 10-15 years of work experience as a controls engineer, programmer, or equivalent.
- Expertise in HVAC and data center cooling control methodologies, chiller plant fundamentals, and sequence of operations.
- Ability to operate independently as a senior team member, managing complex projects across multiple customers.
- Understanding of applied thermodynamics for cooling, refrigeration, and hydronics.
- Experience designing/programming industrial control systems and protocols such as BACnet and Modbus.
- Strong proficiency in working with data center operations teams.
- Experience programming control systems with PLC, ladder logic, text, or block programming languages.
- Ability to read and write Python scripts.
- Ability to explain complex domain-specific and AI/ML concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong ownership of documentation and project delivery, with experience mentoring peers.
- Education in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Control Theory, or Applied Mathematics.
Responsibilities
- Create facility models for AI integration by working closely with Data Science and product teams.
- Configure, commission, and tune AI control products based on specific customer requirements.
- Define product requirements by translating customer needs into documentation for software development teams.
- Lead deployment and support of multiple solutions in parallel across various customer environments.
- Troubleshoot, triage, and analyze control system performance to identify issues and manage risks.
- Act as a technical subject matter expert for customer support, research initiatives, and sales efforts.
