Requirements
- 5+ years of dedicated Data Engineering experience.
- Proven track record designing and implementing a modern data stack.
- Experience with workflow orchestration (e.g., Prefect, Airflow).
- Experience with extraction and load tooling (e.g., CDC, Fivetran, Debezium).
- Experience with transformation tooling (e.g., DBT).
- Hands-on experience with data warehouses, ideally Snowflake.
- Real experience with streaming/event-driven data technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis).
- Deep SQL and analytics engineering skills with warehouse performance optimization experience.
- Experience shipping data as a product (APIs, data feeds, partner-facing datasets).
- Proficiency in Python and Bash; Golang or Ruby is a bonus.
- Experience with CI/CD for data projects and infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred).
- Knowledge architecting and administering solutions in a public cloud (preferably AWS).
Responsibilities
- Mature the existing Snowflake platform by focusing on performance, testing, data quality, and observability.
- Design and build streaming data pipelines, transitioning high-value use cases from batch to event-driven patterns.
- Contribute to the architectural roadmap for data services.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to scope and ship data products for external customers and partners.
- Implement and manage data orchestration tools and frameworks for robust pipelines.
- Provide hands-on analytics engineering support across cross-functional teams.
- Expand data governance, lineage, and metadata management foundations.
- Integrate AI tools into team processes to ensure scalability, structure, and efficiency.
