Requirements
- 5+ years of QA development experience with demonstrated automated testing strategies.
- 2+ years of leadership, mentorship, or coaching experience.
- Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright.
- Proven experience with Shopify Hydrogen storefronts and middleware.
- Deep understanding of cloud-based CI/CD pipeline integration for automated tests.
- Experience in flaky test reduction and improving test execution runtimes.
- Ability to implement quality metrics and reporting systems.
- Familiarity with API contract testing, performance profiling, and load testing.
- E-commerce industry experience is required.
- Strong soft skills: humble, hungry to learn, and people-smart.
Responsibilities
- Architect, optimize, and scale automated testing frameworks for frontend storefronts and backend middleware.
- Lead, mentor, and coach other QA developers to raise the technical standard of the team.
- Integrate automated tests into cloud-based CI/CD pipelines to provide fast, reliable developer feedback.
- Define and track quality metrics including coverage, pipeline stability, and defect leakage.
- Conduct API contract testing, performance profiling, and load testing.
- Perform code reviews and collaborate closely with the web development team to ensure release stability.
