Requirements
- Florida residency and ability to work from a secure, private, and quiet home workspace.
- Bachelor's degree (psychology, social work, human services, etc.) plus 1+ years of crisis intervention or counseling experience OR associate's degree plus 2+ years of crisis intervention experience.
- Ability to pass a level two (2) DCF background check and drug test.
- Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
- Availability for nine weeks of daytime training starting September 2026.
- Commitment to a 4x10 schedule including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday overnight shifts.
- Ability to remain free from caregiver responsibilities during scheduled work hours.
- Proficiency in navigating virtual chat and phone-based environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform crisis and suicide intervention services for helpline callers.
- Conduct basic needs and safety assessments for individuals seeking support.
- Provide information, community service referrals, and resources to callers.
- Deliver supportive listening via phone and virtual chat-based platforms.
- Maintain detailed notes while actively communicating with callers.
