Requirements
- Must be a Florida resident currently residing within the state.
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, human services, education, mental health, social work, early intervention, or related field with 1+ years of experience in crisis/suicide intervention, counseling, or behavioral health.
- Alternatively, an associate's degree with 2+ years of experience in suicide/crisis intervention.
- Must have 4 years of total combined education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
- Secure, quiet, and confidential workspace with reliable internet.
- Free from caregiver responsibilities during work hours.
- Ability to pass a level two (2) DCF background check and drug test.
- Comfortable working in a phone and virtual chat-based environment.
- Availability for full-time training from 9:00am-5:00pm ET, Mon-Fri, starting September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Perform crisis and suicide intervention services.
- Conduct basic needs and safety assessments.
- Provide information and community service referrals to callers.
- Offer supportive listening via phone or virtual chat.
- Maintain detailed notes during calls or chat sessions.
