Requirements
- 5–7 years of backend software engineering experience, ideally with systems involving financial transactions, ledgers, or distributed queues.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
- Experience with functional effect systems, preferably Effect (effect.ts).
- Experience with durable workflow or orchestration systems (e.g., Temporal).
- Solid understanding of concurrency control patterns including partitioned execution, idempotency, and reconciliation.
- Production experience with PostgreSQL.
- Production experience with Kafka or equivalent message infrastructure.
- Proven ability to own services independently with strong judgment on reliability and design.
- Strong written communication skills for producing technical documentation and RFCs.
Responsibilities
- Own transaction processing platform infrastructure for signing and settlement flows, including service design, correctness, and operational health.
- Develop and maintain transaction-ordering and concurrency-control logic to ensure correctness at scale.
- Design data models, API contracts, and retry/backoff logic for owned services.
- Draft technical RFCs and design documentation for integration by cross-functional engineering teams.
- Define production-readiness standards including SLOs, alerting thresholds, and operational runbooks.
- Lead incident response, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive post-mortems for owned services.
- Analyze consistency models, failure modes, and system capacity to mitigate architectural risks.
- Coordinate with Banking and Blockchain engineering teams to translate requirements into platform capabilities.
