Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional/production experience developing backend web-stack applications.
- Professional experience leveraging Go in prior roles.
- Sustained track record of creating improvements in business-critical systems around stability, performance, and scalability.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complete systems from start to finish with little or no supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Prior Billing/Payment System management experience is highly preferred.
- Must complete a technical code challenge in Go during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop core systems and APIs.
- Build internal tooling and APIs to optimize business and engineering processes.
- Implement systemic architectural changes to align with current goals.
- Integrate with external services for payments, documents, and claims.
- Integrate with data providers to source real-time property and risk information.
- Provide subject matter expertise, mentorship, and team support.
- Collaborate on architectural decisions, including microservices vs. monoliths and deployment strategies.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, weekly 1:1s, and biweekly retros.
