Requirements
- Proven experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, Interactive Designer, Business Analyst, or similar role focused on digital product experiences.
- Strong background in UI/UX design for web and mobile applications.
- Experience conducting user research and transforming findings into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and improved experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to create GUI designs based on user interaction principles and performance requirements.
- Strong portfolio showcasing recent UI/UX work, including web-based products or digital platforms.
- Experience with usability testing and accessibility compliance, including Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools.
- Strong understanding of web development technologies, their limitations, and appropriate applications.
- Knowledge of user journey mapping, interaction design, and product usability principles.
- Ability to gather and analyze user feedback to improve existing interfaces.
Responsibilities
- Translate business and data requirements into detailed specifications that support the design and development of effective technology solutions.
- Design user-centered digital experiences for web and mobile environments, considering usability, accessibility, and emotional aspects of user interactions.
- Conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and workshops to understand user needs and translate insights into actionable design improvements.
- Create and deliver wireframes, user stories, user flows, journey maps, mockups, prototypes, and other UX documentation.
- Facilitate product vision by researching, conceptualizing, prototyping, and testing digital solutions.
- Perform usability testing and incorporate user feedback to continuously improve existing and future interfaces.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility requirements, including compliance with applicable accessibility standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and project teams to align design decisions with technical capabilities and business objectives.
