Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License.
- 10+ years of electrical design and engineering experience.
- Proven experience leading mission-critical projects.
- Demonstrated experience in the data center industry.
- Strong operational background within the construction or engineering industry.
- Ability to lead teams and manage external engineering partners.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems design, energy efficiency, and operational performance.
- Familiarity with building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong project management skills including risk mitigation and budget management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement electrical engineering design strategies supporting business goals and construction operations.
- Oversee planning, scheduling, and execution of electrical design activities across the portfolio.
- Ensure electrical systems meet performance, reliability, scalability, and sustainability requirements.
- Review and approve electrical design documents, specifications, and calculations.
- Partner with construction, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure long-term operational efficiency.
- Lead value engineering efforts to optimize cost while maintaining reliability and quality.
- Manage and develop internal electrical engineering staff and external partners.
- Establish and enforce electrical design standards, quality protocols, and compliance with building codes.
- Cultivate relationships with clients, engineering firms, and vendors to negotiate scopes and contracts.
