Requirements

  • 8-12 years of relevant experience in child welfare or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience with CFSR-related child welfare programs, including work in federal, state, or local public programs.
  • 5 years of experience with CFSR and PIP processes, including applying the federal Onsite Review Instrument (OSRI).
  • 5 years of experience analyzing information and data to communicate findings.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check to serve in a position of public trust.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder needs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Children’s Bureau in implementing CFSR processes including planning and conducting case reviews.
  • Review and provide feedback on assessments, progress reports, and correspondence.
  • Monitor review activities and support states in developing and implementing Program Improvement Plans (PIP).
  • Analyze CFSR data indicators and administrative data to support performance planning and continuous quality improvement.
  • Coordinate and facilitate collaboration among federal, state, and tribal stakeholders.
  • Identify regional trends and technical assistance needs to inform reports and presentations.
