Requirements
- B.S. in Computer Science, or other engineering discipline with a software focus
- 10+ years of industry experience in a software development role
- Experience in Javascript, Python, and CSS
- Familiarity with React, Vite, Material UI, Redux, and Redux RTK Query
- Familiarity with common AWS services such as S3, Lambda, ECS, ECR, and DynamoDB
- Experience with Git, Docker, and virtual environments
- Experience with microservice-based architectures and design principles
- Experience with both frontend and backend development and UI design
- Ability to work effectively with a remote team
- Access to a fast, reliable internet connection
- Comfort using AI-assisted tools for rapid development and testing
Responsibilities
- Contribute to an agile development team building high-performance services, APIs, and UIs to support production and distribution of the Ursa Space product line
- Develop and implement robust data management strategies for large-scale spaceborne datasets
- Develop and enhance data processing pipelines for geospatial data ingestion, transformation, and distribution
- Support design and development of production geospatial intelligence algorithms in a containerized software platform
- Contribute to User Experience (UX) design, including mockups and marketing material
- Work with the Software Team to plan, groom, estimate, implement, and test features iteratively
- Design and implement efficient, modular, well-documented and well-tested code
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews
