Requirements
- Experience in backend services and distributed systems.
- Track record running production workloads on Kubernetes and public cloud (AWS).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps practices.
- Strong coding skills.
- Pragmatic approach to code and clean architecture.
- Ability to give and receive direct feedback.
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work as a self-starter in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute on the design and implementation of high-performance Elixir/Phoenix-based systems such as Nutrient's Document Engine and Web Services API.
- Design and build declarative infrastructure, robust, scalable and easy to observe and maintain using Terraform, Terramate and FluxCD on Kubernetes.
- Operate and evolve managed cloud platform, including cluster lifecycle, upgrades, GitOps workflows, observability, and database operations.
- Share ownership for architecture, tools and services, contributing to product development and customer success.
- Collaborate closely with a remote-first engineering team to ship features, debug problems, and improve reliability.
- Meet in person with the team periodically to align and reflect.
