Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of professional software development experience at a mid-level.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful web services, and JPA/Hibernate.
- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in Microsoft Azure.
- Practical experience building documents and reports using JasperReports and iText.
- Proficiency with relational databases, SQL, and query tuning.
- Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery teams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
- US citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a favorable Public Trust background investigation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java application features for USDA trade systems (LAWGS, PCIT, VEHCS).
- Generate and maintain reports, certificates, and documents using JasperReports and iText.
- Build, configure, and maintain cloud-hosted application components in Microsoft Azure.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations.
- Resolve production defects and implement software enhancements within an Agile/SAFe environment.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and perform peer code reviews.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines to support automated builds and deployments.
