Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent professional experience or relevant certifications may be considered.
- Three or more years of experience in areas such as government operations, public policy implementation, consulting, organizational transformation, or innovation initiatives.
- Experience with project design, implementation, stakeholder engagement, coaching, facilitation, or change management within complex organizations.
- Understanding of public procurement processes, government operations, or regulatory environments at the state or local level preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills with the ability to make complex topics accessible.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- Ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and support organizational change.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed, up to approximately 8 times per year.
Responsibilities
- Support project planning, problem diagnosis, and implementation activities through research, data analysis, interviews, surveys, process mapping, and policy reviews.
- Collaborate with government leaders to design ambitious, practical projects informed by data, strategic goals, and measurable outcomes.
- Develop project materials including diagnostic reports, implementation roadmaps, workplans, progress updates, and training resources.
- Manage day-to-day project execution, including stakeholder meetings, workshops, implementation tracking, and change management activities.
- Provide coaching and advisory support to government partners by helping identify challenges, develop solutions, and improve procurement practices.
- Facilitate internal and external project discussions to maintain alignment, address risks, and sustain momentum.
- Support the development of scalable procurement innovation approaches that can be shared across multiple jurisdictions.
