Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive compensation experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of compensation design, job evaluation methodologies, market benchmarking, and pay structures.
- Experience managing compensation programs, annual review cycles, and incentive strategies.
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex compensation concepts clearly and influence senior leaders.
- Strong understanding of wage and hour regulations, pay equity principles, and FLSA classification standards.
- Experience building effective partnerships across HR, Finance, and business teams.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills.
- Experience with compensation survey tools such as WTW, Mercer, or Radford.
- Experience with HRIS and compensation management platforms such as Workday Advanced Compensation, Payscale, or PayFactors.
- Experience designing incentive, bonus, or sales compensation programs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay structures, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, and job leveling frameworks.
- Partner with HR business partners and business leaders to evaluate roles, conduct market pricing, and ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Manage annual compensation cycles, including merit increases, promotions, salary reviews, and bonus calculations.
- Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership on compensation philosophy, market trends, and best practices.
- Ensure compensation programs comply with applicable wage and hour laws, pay equity requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain job descriptions, job codes, and classification frameworks in collaboration with HR and legal teams.
- Advise and train HR teams and leaders on compensation policies, processes, and pay decisions.
- Analyze compensation data, benchmarking insights, and market trends to support business recommendations.
- Manage and mentor compensation professionals, overseeing priorities, project execution, and quality of deliverables.
- Support compensation-related projects that improve processes, systems, and organizational effectiveness.
