Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in robotics, autonomous systems, industrial automation, or complex cyber-physical environments.
- Deep understanding of robotics technologies (SLAM, Nav2, MoveIt2, perception pipelines, sensor fusion, DDS).
- Advanced programming expertise in C++ (17/20) and Python.
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments (Ubuntu/Debian), containerization, and embedded computing.
- Experience designing systems for compute limitations, thermal management, and power optimization.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing or mentoring engineering teams.
- Experience integrating AI technologies like large language models, vision-language models, and edge AI inference.
- Strong understanding of real-time systems and software-hardware integration.
Responsibilities
- Design and own scalable, modular software architectures for humanoid robot applications across robotics, AI, cloud, and edge environments.
- Define technical strategies and select appropriate robotics frameworks, SDKs, operating systems, and development platforms.
- Lead architecture decisions involving robotic operating systems, AI infrastructure, deployment models, and distributed software systems.
- Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to optimize system performance including compute, thermal, and power efficiency.
- Develop reusable software platforms and application frameworks that support multiple robotic form factors.
- Define integration strategy for foundation models, agentic AI, and reasoning engines.
- Guide proof-of-concepts into production-ready deployments ensuring reliability and maintainability.
- Lead, mentor, and support engineering teams.
