Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product design, specifically with complex, data-heavy, or scientific software.
- Proven experience building or leading a design system.
- Formal experience managing and mentoring designers.
- Expert-level proficiency in Figma, including variables and design-to-code workflows.
- Experience designing AI-powered product experiences with a clear perspective on trust and human oversight.
- Understanding of front-end constraints to collaborate effectively with engineers.
- Ability to communicate and influence at the executive and scientific leadership level.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, ambiguous, and scaling environments.
- Experience with life sciences data (genomics, omics, clinical) is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own user journeys, flows, and interaction design for the Seven Bridges Platform.
- Build and maintain a design system including design tokens and a component library.
- Support rapid prototyping by product managers while ensuring design quality.
- Manage and mentor product designers and grow the design team.
- Design AI-powered experiences, including assistant and copilot interfaces.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure design systems are implemented in code.
- Utilize product analytics to identify experience debt and prioritize fixes.
- Represent the design function in leadership strategy discussions.
