Requirements
- Seven to ten years working for a Medicaid agency supporting policy initiatives or consulting with Medicaid agencies on policy initiatives.
- Experience analyzing regulations and sub-regulatory guidance to inform program direction.
- Experience managing projects and initiatives to implement program changes to comply with regulations.
- Experience working with most Medicaid authorities such as waivers and the state plan.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Public Policy, Health Management, Public Health, or a similar field.
- Demonstrated experience in relationship building and teamwork.
- Excellent writing, communication, and computer skills.
- Willingness to travel.
- Preferred: experience in MAGI and non-MAGI eligibility.
- Preferred: experience navigating the reimbursement portion of state plans.
Responsibilities
- Lead one or more client policy initiative(s) with a team.
- Engage in activities such as policy analysis and recommendations, client communications, and client meetings.
- Manage action items, project progress tracking, and reporting.
- Drive professional development through an annual process in partnership with supervisors.
- Participate in new business development, including research and supporting proposal content or marketing materials.
