Requirements

  • Certification in school psychometry from a state-approved program meeting Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) requirements.
  • Hold and maintain all required Alabama credentials to administer psycho-educational assessments.
  • Minimum of two years of experience administering psycho-educational assessments, including individual intelligence tests and diagnostic instruments.
  • Experience supporting school-based evaluations and eligibility processes.
  • Strong knowledge of standardized testing procedures, assessment protocols, and test security.
  • Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized and punctual.
  • Ability to work at least 20 hours per week during school day hours with availability up to 30 hours as caseload requires.
  • Customer-focused approach with strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer psychological, educational, and/or social emotional behavioral assessments using virtual tools.
  • Explain testing procedures and objectives to students while ensuring compliance with protocols.
  • Assist school personnel in completing evaluations to determine student eligibility for IEP purposes.
  • Maintain inventory of testing supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Perform basic interpretation of standardized tests and provide recommendations to case managers regarding additional testing needs.
  • Ensure confidentiality of results and maintain the security of all testing materials.
