Requirements
- Certification in school psychometry from a state-approved program meeting Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) requirements.
- Hold and maintain all required Alabama credentials to administer psycho-educational assessments.
- Minimum of two years of experience administering psycho-educational assessments, including individual intelligence tests and diagnostic instruments.
- Experience supporting school-based evaluations and eligibility processes.
- Strong knowledge of standardized testing procedures, assessment protocols, and test security.
- Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and punctual.
- Ability to work at least 20 hours per week during school day hours with availability up to 30 hours as caseload requires.
- Customer-focused approach with strong collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and administer psychological, educational, and/or social emotional behavioral assessments using virtual tools.
- Explain testing procedures and objectives to students while ensuring compliance with protocols.
- Assist school personnel in completing evaluations to determine student eligibility for IEP purposes.
- Maintain inventory of testing supplies, instruments, and equipment.
- Perform basic interpretation of standardized tests and provide recommendations to case managers regarding additional testing needs.
- Ensure confidentiality of results and maintain the security of all testing materials.
