Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in managing 3rd party bodily injury and property damage litigated claims.
- Experience with insured and self-insured clients, including directing defense counsel, evaluating exposure, and negotiating settlements.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multi-party litigation, contract interpretation, and risk transfer (additional insured and indemnity).
- Moderate technical expertise handling commercial auto and general liability bodily injury and property damage claims preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills for communication, negotiation, and conducting investigations.
- Demonstrated leadership ability and time management skills.
- Active claims adjusting license where required by state law.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct investigations of multi-party construction bodily injury and property damage liability claims across jurisdictions.
- Independently manage moderate to high exposure claims involving Commercial General Liability policies, including OCP, OCIP, CCIP, and Self-Insured Retention programs.
- Evaluate risk transfer opportunities and develop defense strategies in coordination with counsel.
- Own the full claim lifecycle from coverage analysis and reserving to negotiation and resolution.
- Manage litigation and pursue early resolution strategies to reduce cycle time and legal spend.
- Serve as a senior technical resource to mentor and coach less experienced adjusters.
- Participate in Suit Committees, Roundtables, Arbitrations, Mediations, and field investigations.
