- Scholarship record or industry experience commensurable with a tenured associate professor rank.
- Prior university teaching experience.
- Ability to teach object-oriented programming and database systems.
- Ability to teach mathematics or statistics (requires 18 graduate credit hours in the relevant domain).
- Commitment to an active research agenda aligned with university focus areas.
- Willingness to travel for mandatory meetings and conferences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and teach courses within the computer science domain, including object-oriented programming and database systems.
- Support the growth of the university's data science program.
- Teach additional courses in mathematics or statistics, provided the candidate has completed 18 graduate credit hours in those domains.
- Maintain an active research agenda connected to Embry-Riddle's research focus areas.
- Collaborate with existing department faculty on research initiatives.
- Participate in mandatory college meetings and scholastic activities, such as presenting at conferences.
