Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research.
- 5+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science for M.S. holders.
- 4+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science for Ph.D. holders.
- Expertise in querying relational databases using SQL.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python.
- Deep understanding of online experimentation (A/B testing) and causal inference.
- Strong technical communication and data storytelling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to tackle ambiguous problems by creating action plans and iterating.
- Bias toward action and comfort working in fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities
- Develop action-oriented insights to drive product strategy through observational causal analysis and experiment meta-analysis.
- Uplevel experimentation practices by guiding design, execution, and deep dive analyses of A/B tests.
- Create new ETLs, tables, dashboards, and self-serve tools to improve data accessibility.
- Design, evaluate, and measure team-level KPIs to support quarterly goal setting and business outcomes.
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment between Data Science and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor junior data scientists and business partners in best practices and statistical methods.
