Requirements
- Deep knowledge of recommendation and personalization science (ranking, search, matching, propensity models).
- Proven ability to personally build, validate, monitor, and iterate on models in a production environment.
- Experience working with distributed systems, specifically HTTP/gRPC and streaming architectures.
- Proficiency in Go or TypeScript.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in version-controlled codebases and collaborate with engineers.
- Experience with model training and serving pipelines.
- Strong product thinking skills and technical communication abilities.
- Capability to translate ambiguous objectives into a sequence of models and experiments.
Responsibilities
- Evolve the Interactive Learning Plugin's recommendation system by improving candidate selection, ranking, and sequencing.
- Develop, validate, monitor, and iterate on recommendation models within a production environment.
- Define and implement offline, online, and longitudinal measures of recommendation quality.
- Maintain and evolve feature pipelines and model architecture.
- Partner with software engineers to productionize models and ensure safe integration into the existing codebase.
- Collaborate with product analytics, developer advocacy, and documentation teams to translate needs into testable hypotheses and measurable product decisions.
