Requirements
- Strong core Java skills with deep understanding of concurrency primitives.
- Proven ability to design and optimize efficient data structures and algorithms.
- Experience implementing novel techniques to efficiently index, store, and query time-series or logs data.
- Experience with data storage technologies such as Elasticsearch, Solr, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Prometheus.
- Experience building high-performance, scalable database, search, or distributed systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and drive decisions in a distributed team environment.
- Experience using AI to accelerate development, debug complex systems, and optimize code.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural evolution of core storage engine components by identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Drive cross-organizational initiatives to develop and implement industry-leading observability solutions.
- Collaborate within a globally distributed team focused on logs and metrics capabilities.
- Improve system performance by introducing clean coding standards and architectural clarity.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, acting as a technical advisor and mentor to the engineering organization.
- Triage, resolve, and review issues and pull requests, collaborating with domain experts.
