Requirements
- Experience building recommendation, ranking, search, matching, propensity, or next-best-action systems.
- Experience with applied model ownership, including building, validating, and monitoring models in production.
- Experience working in version-controlled codebases and collaborating with engineers on implementation.
- Experience with distributed systems, including HTTP/gRPC and streaming.
- Programming experience with Go and TypeScript.
- Strong product thinking and technical communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote-only, global environment.
- Ability to iterate on models and experiments steadily within an ambitious, ambiguous objective.
Responsibilities
- Evolve the Interactive Learning Plugin's recommendation system by developing personalized approaches to candidate selection, ranking, and sequencing.
- Build and operate real-time recommendation services, including feature pipelines and model monitoring.
- Develop, validate, version, and monitor models used in the production recommendation environment.
- Define recommendation quality metrics and develop offline, online, and longitudinal performance measures.
- Partner with software engineers and data analysts to productionize models and ensure safe integration.
- Collaborate with Product, Developer Advocacy, and GTM teams to translate ambiguous needs into measurable product decisions.
- Communicate modeling choices, uncertainty, and results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
