Requirements
- Experience in building recommendation, ranking, search, matching, propensity, or next-best-action systems.
- Proven ability to build, validate, monitor, and iterate on models in a product or operational environment.
- Experience working effectively in version-controlled codebases.
- Experience in distributed systems.
- Proficiency with Go or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with HTTP and gRPC protocols.
- Ability to work with streaming systems.
- Strong technical communication skills to explain modeling choices and tradeoffs.
- Product-oriented mindset to translate ambiguous objectives into testable hypotheses.
Responsibilities
- Evolve the Interactive Learning Plugin's recommendation system to increase personalization.
- Own a real-time recommendation service, including model training and serving.
- Build, validate, monitor, and iterate on models used in production.
- Define recommendation quality and develop offline, online, and longitudinal performance measures.
- Manage feature pipelines and model architecture monitoring.
- Ship incremental improvements by integrating into the existing recommender.
- Collaborate with engineers, data analysts, and product teams on instrumentation and experiment analysis.
