Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Finance or Accounting.
  • 4-5 years of payroll operational experience specifically in Belgian payroll.
  • Working knowledge of Belgian payroll, time and absence, and profit-sharing general rules.
  • Working knowledge of Workday and experience with third-party application integration.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in French.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and database software.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and process diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with payroll implementation projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process and correct payroll transactions while collaborating with internal stakeholders and payroll vendors.
  • Review and validate payroll reconciliation files, bank files, and internally or GPV-generated reports.
  • Execute pre-payroll activities, including final data entry, master data quality checks, and time/payroll completeness verification.
  • Provide support for Time & Absence (T&A) processes.
  • Resolve input errors from vendors or internal teams and implement root-cause improvements.
  • Coordinate with Treasury to resolve bank errors and execute preventive actions.
  • Manage year-end payroll processing, including calendar management and tax reporting.
  • Support internal queries from Tax, Finance, and HR departments regarding payroll data.
  • Lead or participate in global, regional, and country-specific payroll projects.
