Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Finance or Accounting.
- 4-5 years of payroll operational experience specifically in Belgian payroll.
- Working knowledge of Belgian payroll, time and absence, and profit-sharing general rules.
- Working knowledge of Workday and experience with third-party application integration.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in French.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and database software.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and process diagnostic skills.
- Experience with payroll implementation projects is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Process and correct payroll transactions while collaborating with internal stakeholders and payroll vendors.
- Review and validate payroll reconciliation files, bank files, and internally or GPV-generated reports.
- Execute pre-payroll activities, including final data entry, master data quality checks, and time/payroll completeness verification.
- Provide support for Time & Absence (T&A) processes.
- Resolve input errors from vendors or internal teams and implement root-cause improvements.
- Coordinate with Treasury to resolve bank errors and execute preventive actions.
- Manage year-end payroll processing, including calendar management and tax reporting.
- Support internal queries from Tax, Finance, and HR departments regarding payroll data.
- Lead or participate in global, regional, and country-specific payroll projects.
