Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 8+ years' professional experience.
- 5+ years' experience in affordable housing development (rental and/or homeownership).
- 5+ years' experience in state or local level housing development programs.
- 3+ years' hands-on knowledge of CDBG/CDBG-DR programs or related affordable housing regulations.
- In-depth knowledge of real estate financing, underwriting, and federal housing requirements.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Project Management software.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of disaster recovery affordable housing projects and programs.
- Conduct underwriting for homebuyer assistance and rental housing construction or rehabilitation.
- Provide strategic consulting and subject matter expertise to clients regarding disaster recovery and resilience.
- Develop public-facing written materials regarding program policies and HUD compliance.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, developers, and subcontractors to assemble viable housing programs.
- Draft housing program procedures and establish systems for regulatory interpretation and application.
