Requirements
- 5+ years in platform, infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- Proven experience as a senior individual contributor owning production systems end-to-end.
- Substantial hands-on experience running production infrastructure on AWS.
- Experience operating container-orchestrated workloads in production.
- Experience managing managed relational databases and diagnosing performance issues.
- Solid grasp of networking including VPCs, subnets, routing, and DNS.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code.
- Ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar systems.
- Strong sense of ownership and proactive communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel 8-10% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve the platform function by bringing more of the environment under code.
- Own production uptime, lead incident response, and perform root cause analysis.
- Manage monitoring, alerting, and tracing across the stack.
- Operate and upgrade AWS infrastructure including EKS, RDS/Aurora, and networking.
- Manage infrastructure as code using AWS CDK in JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions and remove deployment bottlenecks.
- Manage tracker data networking from field equipment into the AWS platform.
- Monitor AWS spend and provide cost-saving recommendations.
- Document systems to distribute knowledge across the team.
