Requirements
- 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience with Python.
- Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs and distributed backend systems.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases and data management practices.
- Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern deployment practices.
- Strong understanding of microservices principles and scalable system design.
- Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional Agile teams.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and ownership mindset.
- Experience driving technical initiatives and contributing to architectural decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in an international environment.
- Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency.
- Experience with FastAPI and TypeScript is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-powered applications, LLM integrations, AI SDKs, or prompt-based solutions is highly valued.
- Experience integrating AI services such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar platforms is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and cloud-native applications using Python.
- Build and optimize distributed systems, payment processing workflows, and backend infrastructure to support high availability and performance.
- Contribute to architecture discussions, technical strategy, and key engineering decisions.
- Develop secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions following modern software engineering practices.
- Collaborate with Product, Frontend, AI, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Investigate and resolve complex production issues while driving continuous system improvements.
- Contribute to AI-powered product capabilities and integrations with emerging AI technologies.
- Promote engineering excellence through strong practices around observability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Help define and improve development processes within a collaborative Agile environment.
