Requirements
- 5+ years building production software with increasing ownership over architecture.
- Strong experience with Python and/or TypeScript in production environments.
- Experience with React and modern frontend frameworks (Next.js preferred).
- Experience with AI/multi-model systems (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) and document understanding/OCR.
- Experience with LLMs in production systems with real users.
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, and Docker.
- Demonstrated history of shipping systems that serve paying enterprise customers.
- Proven experience designing systems that other engineers built upon successfully.
Responsibilities
- Own defined parts of the platform architecture as the platform grows.
- Design and build the AI agent pipelines including document parsing, extraction, analysis, and pricing.
- Make infrastructure decisions across AWS to support 5x growth efficiently.
- Write production code daily.
- Define and enforce engineering standards through CI, linters, and code review.
- Build data pipelines for state pricing, bid documents, and project data.
- Collaborate with the founder and principal engineer on product direction and technical tradeoffs.
- Design systems that fail gracefully with AI output.
- Implement monitoring and observability for proactive issue detection.
- Contribute to hiring decisions.
