Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical building systems emphasis
- 5+ years of experience in designing mechanical systems for high performing, commercial, industrial or mission critical/data center buildings
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Trane Trace and Pipeflow
- Knowledge of building, mechanical and energy codes
- Ability to travel to project sites
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills
- EIT or Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
- Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) preferred
- Mission Critical/Data Center experience preferred
- Experience with international projects preferred
Responsibilities
- Independently support the project team during design and construction stages of projects
- Design air distribution, hydronic and automated temperature controls systems
- Integrate complex mechanical engineering requirements into facility designs
- Develop drawing and specification documents for architects, contractors and building owners
- Collaborate and coordinate with internal project discipline team members and external vendors
- Mentor and train junior engineers
- Track and coordinate mechanical disciplines including HVAC, Energy, Controls, Fire Protection, and Plumbing
- Perform Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) evaluations for facilities
- Perform construction administration tasks
