Requirements
- BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or Controls engineering.
- Minimum five years of direct experience with fixed wing UAS Flight Controls and GNC implementation.
- Hands-on experience in software development for flight controls.
- Hands-on experience in guidance, navigation, and control for fixed wing systems.
- Proficiency in executing operations of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulators.
- Experience conducting testing and troubleshooting of HW/SW interfaces.
- Familiarity with software configuration management tools, version control systems, and defect tracking.
- Experience managing technical project teams and risk.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead singular focal point for flight control automation and technical business use cases.
- Hire, develop, supervise, and manage a technical team focused on Flight Controls and GNC Automation for fixed-wing platforms.
- Act as a key cross-functional stakeholder for experimental learning in HIL/SIL, ground, and flight testing.
- Conduct data analysis to support developmental or operational efforts, informing risk management and safety workflows.
- Lead and manage the planning and execution of test activities for internal and customer-driven projects.
