Requirements

  • 5+ years as a People Business Partner or equivalent.
  • Hands-on, multi-country EMEA employee population experience.
  • Working fluency in employment law across key EMEA markets (UK, Germany, France, Ireland, Netherlands).
  • Direct experience with works councils and statutory employee representation.
  • Proven experience owning employee relations and investigations independently.
  • Background in a startup or high-growth technical company.
  • Strong consulting, coaching, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to build trust quickly with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating with autonomy across time zones.
  • Willingness to travel across the region as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary People partner to EMEA leaders, coaching them through performance, org, and talent decisions.
  • Own end-to-end employee relations across the region, including sensitive or cross-border cases and formal investigations.
  • Lead performance management cycles across multiple EMEA markets, adapting processes to local norms.
  • Partner with the Compensation Manager on region-specific benchmarking and guidance.
  • Guide managers through country-specific employment requirements, including works councils, statutory notice periods, and GDPR.
  • Stand up local-market infrastructure as the company opens new entities, starting with the UK and Germany.
  • Use people data and analytics to surface trends and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
