Requirements
- At least 5 years of successful experience as an Engineering Manager over Integration and/or Data Engineering teams.
- Experience in two or more early-to-growth-stage remote startup environments.
- Strong technical acumen with a deep understanding of SQL, data concepts, pipelines (ELT), and cloud data warehousing.
- Proven track record of adopting modern development practices and leveraging AI-assisted tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and drive long-term technical projects across multiple teams.
- Exceptional collaboration and influencing skills for cross-departmental problem solving.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills for a fully remote environment.
- Ability to balance high-level strategic perspective with hands-on technical detail when necessary.
- Growth-oriented mindset with commitment to cultivating high-performance engineering culture.
- Proficiency in identifying and managing priorities independently across multiple teams.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide the Data and Clinical Integration teams through consistent feedback and performance management.
- Refine and execute technical strategies for converting EHR data into trustworthy, query-ready information.
- Manage shared roadmaps and dependencies between integration and data engineering pipelines.
- Champion the adoption of modern, AI-assisted engineering practices and set responsible-use guardrails.
- Partner with Product and Design to define technical specifications and deliver impactful healthcare solutions.
- Facilitate team rituals including kickoffs, retrospectives, and technical debt reviews.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance with SQL and data tooling to unblock teams and validate solutions.
