Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on Shopify development experience with custom coding.
- Advanced knowledge of Shopify theme architecture, Liquid, theme editor, metafields, and metaobjects.
- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript with mobile-first development experience.
- Solid understanding of web performance optimization and ecommerce user experience best practices.
- Demonstrable portfolio featuring at least three real Shopify stores with measurable impact.
- Advanced ability to use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude or Cursor.
- Strong communication skills, autonomy, and an ownership mindset.
- Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing is highly valued.
- Experience with ecommerce agencies, Shopify-focused teams, or D2C brands is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Shopify themes, sections, and functionalities using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Build fully editable ecommerce experiences through Shopify’s native editor.
- Configure metafields and metaobjects to create dynamic product experiences and scalable content structures.
- Integrate third-party ecommerce tools such as email marketing platforms, subscription solutions, and review systems.
- Optimize website performance, loading speed, and Core Web Vitals, with a strong focus on mobile experiences.
- Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests to improve conversion rates and implement successful optimizations.
- Document releases, provide editing guides, and monitor store performance after updates.
- Leverage AI development tools to improve productivity while applying strong technical judgment and quality control.
