Requirements
- 8+ years of professional web development experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to developing on the Shopify platform
- Expert-level proficiency in Liquid templating, Online Store 2.0 architecture, sections/blocks, metafields, theme app extensions, and Shopify CLI
- Deep understanding of Shopify Storefront API, Admin API (GraphQL), App Bridge, webhooks, and integrating apps for subscriptions, search, reviews, and loyalty
- Experience with headless Shopify using Hydrogen/Remix or Next.js, including edge rendering and caching strategies
- Proficient in React, Node.js, and serverless technologies (Cloudflare/AWS)
- Strong background in HTML, CSS/SCSS, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Expertise in performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, CDN) and conversion rate optimization
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub, code reviews, and CI/CD processes

Responsibilities
- Design and maintain the structural components of our online presence, including themes, templates, sections, and app extensions, by leveraging Liquid, JSON, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Engineer complex Shopify features such as custom logic for checkout, cart, and pricing using Shopify Functions; implement Checkout Extensibility and manage data exchanges via GraphQL and REST APIs.
- Enhance Performance and SEO by overseeing Core Web Vitals, optimizing images/CDN, and ensuring semantic markup.
- Configure Shopify Markets to support internationalization, including domains, currencies, duties, taxes, and multi-region catalogs.
- Implement automated testing using Playwright, Cypress, and Jest; establish CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
- Deliver accessible user experiences conforming to WCAG standards.
- Collaborate with Design, Content, and Growth teams, conduct code reviews, and provide mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
