Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and operating production backend services.
- Strong programming experience in a modern systems or application language, with deep expertise in Go and/or Rust preferred.
- Experience developing production applications with Go web frameworks such as Buffalo, Echo, Chi, or Gin.
- Familiarity with Rust asynchronous ecosystems, including technologies such as Tokio, Axum, Tower, or tracing.
- Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating services in Kubernetes environments, including managed clusters and Helm charts.
- Experience building modern web applications using React, TypeScript, and Vite.
- Experience implementing and maintaining OpenTelemetry instrumentation.
- Strong API design and software architecture skills.
- Excellent technical communication skills for documentation and design decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services using modern systems programming languages, primarily Go and Rust.
- Develop and maintain multi-source data ingestion pipelines that collect, transform, deduplicate, and route information across specialized storage systems.
- Build web applications that enable users to visualize, explore, and analyze complex datasets through interactive interfaces.
- Create and improve data access layers that leverage relational, graph, and analytical databases.
- Design and maintain cloud-native deployments using managed Kubernetes environments.
- Implement strong observability practices through distributed tracing, metrics, logging, and operational dashboards.
- Develop secure and maintainable APIs with thoughtful abstractions.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical planning, and engineering documentation processes.
