Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Experience managing deferred revenue balances and accounting close processes.
- Experience overseeing accounts receivable operations and working capital management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- NetSuite ERP experience is required.
- Salesforce or similar CRM platform experience is required.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- CPA designation is preferred.
- Familiarity with revenue automation tools (e.g., NetSuite ARM, Zuora, Stripe, Chargebee) is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly and quarterly revenue close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, revenue analysis, and management reporting.
- Manage revenue recognition activities in alignment with ASC 606 requirements, including contract reviews and accounting assessments.
- Oversee deferred revenue governance, including rollforwards, balance analysis, and ensuring timely revenue recognition.
- Manage retail partner accounts receivable operations, including collections, dispute resolution, and payment management.
- Partner with Sales, Legal, Operations, and FP&A to evaluate customer contracts and determine accounting treatments.
- Develop revenue metrics, working capital reporting, and financial performance insights.
- Drive improvements across order-to-cash processes to implement scalable solutions.
- Support external audits by preparing documentation and ensuring compliance.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
