Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED.
- 5+ years’ experience in wind energy.
- 3+ years’ experience in large corrective wind turbine repairs.
- 1+ year of experience flagging and performing 2X GE component replacements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must hold OSHA certification.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to obtain a DOT physical.
- Must pass a pre-hire drug screen.
- Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Flexible availability for up to 100% travel.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support teams of technicians in major corrective repairs.
- Perform major up-tower component replacements for multiple turbine platforms including GE, Nordex, Siemens, Vestas, and Gamesa.
- Swap out major components such as blades, gearboxes, generators, pitch bearings, rotors, and hubs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems in the field.
- Communicate project activities daily to site management.
- Complete and submit service reports, timecards, expense reports, and weekly truck/trailer reports.
- Assist in the selection and training of team members.
