Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Engineering Manager, Technical Lead or equivalent leadership position.
- Demonstrable servant-leadership and empowering management style.
- Deep, hands-on experience building and shipping mobile applications in a commercial setting.
- Strong product mindset with experience collaborating with Product and UX teams.
- Backend and cloud literacy (API, AWS).
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development, code generation and agentic coding workflows.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum or Kanban).
- Experience with Flutter (nice to have).
- Experience in the creator economy or affiliate monetisation platforms (nice to have).
Responsibilities
- Coach and mentor engineers, fostering their growth and career development.
- Drive recruitment efforts and ensure successful onboarding for new team members.
- Conduct performance reviews, track individual development plans, and provide regular feedback.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to define team objectives and OKRs.
- Enable the team to take ownership of the software delivery lifecycle and drive continuous improvement.
- Facilitate discussions and decision-making processes within the team, resolving conflicts when necessary.
- Coordinate with Product, UX and other engineering teams to deliver on shared goals.
- Champion AI-assisted development, code generation and agentic coding workflows to accelerate delivery across the team.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and promote a culture of learning within the team.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the Engineering Management group.
