Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
- Focus on selling data products, SaaS, or API-based solutions.
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the weather and climate industry, or deep experience selling digital transformation into sectors like energy, maritime, aviation, agriculture, or logistics.
- Consultative, value-based selling style.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships across cultures, time zones, and seniority levels.
- Proficiency with modern sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, Lusha).
- Self-motivated and effective working independently in a remote team.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel across the territory as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and execute a territory plan spanning EMEA and APAC.
- Meet and surpass assigned quotas through disciplined prospecting, qualification, and full-cycle deal execution.
- Develop long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders across the weather, climate, and earth intelligence ecosystem.
- Use a solution-selling approach to uncover operational pain points and propose tailored data and climate analytics offerings.
- Develop expertise in Spire’s data products and platforms to communicate value to technical and executive audiences.
- Prepare and present persuasive sales proposals and responses to tenders.
- Lead commercial negotiations on terms and pricing to close deals.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline in the CRM with rigorous forecasting.
- Track industry trends and competitive movements to inform regional strategy.
- Partner with marketing, product, meteorology, and customer success teams.
