Requirements
- 13+ years of experience in a data engineering role, with a strong emphasis on leading data engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or related field.
- Proven experience designing and deploying large-scale AI systems.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system architecture.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and architecture principles.
- Experience in building data pipelines using Python/SQL or similar programming languages.
- Understanding of REST-based APIs, vectorized embeddings, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) AI workloads.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
- Proven ability to thrive in an agile development environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale data pipelines across a variety of source systems and streams.
- Develop and maintain applications supporting analytics needs across multiple systems.
- Implement design patterns while optimizing performance, cost, security, and scale.
- Coach and guide others within the organization to build scalable pipelines.
- Collaborate with data scientists, business analysts, and ML infrastructure teams.
- Develop automated tests for code compatibility and cross-device/browser performance.
- Create technical and business documentation for developed products.
- Deploy to cloud-based platforms and troubleshoot application or configuration issues.
