Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study (or equivalent practical experience)
- 7+ years of software engineering experience
- Prior experience with distributed systems, microservices and messaging queues
- Ability to own complex projects involving partners across multiple teams
- Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers
- Working knowledge of at least one object oriented programming language (PySpark, Python, Java)
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction for complex solutions in close alignment with your product counterparts, direct engineering peers in other regions and the wider engineering community
- Partner with multi-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions that meet business requirements
- Build frameworks that supports highly performant ingestion and distribution of financial data and build AI-native products, moving from initial prototype to scalable production services with high velocity
- Evaluate and drive strategic business and technology decisions for the company and for customers
- Be a technical thought leader in multiple areas who educates and shares best practices
- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to deliver high-quality results and drive continuous improvement
