Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity or security engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SIEM technologies (e.g., Sumo Logic, Splunk, QRadar).
- Experience building detection content, dashboards, and advanced queries.
- Experience supporting incident response activities and collaborating with SOC teams.
- Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly AWS and/or Azure.
- Understanding of endpoint security technologies and modern threat detection methodologies.
- Experience with data protection and DLP tools, particularly Microsoft Purview (highly desirable).
- Knowledge of scripting or automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar (a plus).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO standards.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, GIAC, CISSP, or equivalent are advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Own, administer, and continuously optimize the SIEM platform, including the development of detection rules, dashboards, alerts, and advanced queries.
- Partner with incident response and SOC teams by supporting investigations, providing log analysis, and delivering actionable technical insights.
- Identify weaknesses in monitoring capabilities and implement improvements to strengthen threat detection and response.
- Contribute to enterprise security initiatives including cloud security, data loss prevention, and sensitive data classification.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices across systems and applications.
- Monitor emerging cyber threats, technologies, and industry standards to improve security controls.
