Requirements
- Four or more years of relevant industry experience with a track record of shipping high-quality products and features at scale.
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript with strong server design principles.
- Understanding of architectural patterns for highly available, scalable, low-latency, asynchronous systems.
- Experience with cloud-based providers such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.
- Exposure to modular monoliths and micro-services architectures.
- Proven ability to evaluate multiple technical directions and determine tradeoffs.
- Experience building and shipping complex projects or products.
- Ability to provide in-depth technical analysis and make data-driven architectural decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain high standards for self and team.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership over large domains and features related to card processing, card issuing, and core ledgering of financial transactions.
- Play a critical role in the development, design, and maintenance of the platform and services.
- Architect well-thought-out services and data models that ensure continued growth.
- Own problems end-to-end, including API contracts, data models, scalability, security, observability, and metrics.
- Lead by example and mentor engineers in planning, development, and testing.
- Drive best-in-class technology frameworks and tooling while staying engaged with latest technology trends.
- Participate in on-call rotations and solve problems for the servicing team.
