Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of building and operating production backend systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience handling and processing transactional or financial data at scale.
- Experience working in a SOX-controlled environment.
- Experience designing reliable and auditable services and data models.
- Familiarity with the interface between streaming production data and data warehouse environments.
- Ability to operate independently and define architecture and workflows.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Bonus: Knowledge of finance and accounting principles.
- Bonus: Experience with payments infrastructure, marketplace payout platforms, or finance systems vendors.
Responsibilities
- Build and own core services that ingest PSP settlement and transactional data at scale and translate it into general ledger and billing systems.
- Design and deliver infrastructure that converts monetization deal terms into configuration, replacing point solutions with auditable systems.
- Develop and iterate tools to improve data quality and interaction speed, utilizing AI-first approaches.
- Collaborate with product, finance, and data teams to shape transactional and settlement data modeling.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, completeness, and operational excellence in a SOX-controlled environment.
- Create clear documentation and definitions for data sources and systems to ensure transparent ownership.
