Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven track record in research delivery, project and/or programme management.
  • Experience with ownership of large, multi-region or multi-stakeholder programmes.
  • History of successful stakeholder engagement and commercial discussions with senior clients.
  • Strong experience in risk and issue management.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Experience mentoring or line-managing project/programme management staff.
  • Experience with budget ownership, forecasting, and commercial analysis.
  • Experience in healthcare, clinical trials, or research.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage complex projects across functions.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical trials and regulations (preferred).
  • Certification in project management such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead the scoping, evaluation, and commercial shaping of sub-studies and partner with the commercial team during proposal and contracting stages.
  • Manage execution of sub-studies, including sponsor relations, contract renewals, and expansions.
  • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to plan, track, and report on programme progress and milestones.
  • Own programme-level budget accountability, including forecasting, margin awareness, and commercial risk identification.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, acting as the escalation point for programme-level issues.
  • Build and manage senior-level external client relationships and lead sponsor-facing governance.
  • Collaborate with technical product and engineering teams to identify solutions and shape the technology roadmap.
  • Oversee internal reporting and represent the programme function in cross-functional forums.
  • Mentor and support the development of more junior team members.
